Why the Drudge Report is one of the best designed sites on the web
This is a great review on the Drudge Report. DR and CL (craigslist) are good examples of low cost and efficient websites that are doing very well. They show that things don't always have to look pretty to get users/viewers. One thing to be said for both is that they are fast and simple, for the developer and user.
