Professionalism, Programming, and Punditry and Success as a Metric
Too bad Scotts comments are closed, I wanted to leave one! But I can still post here

He discusses looking at programming failures and what is learned from them as a… well metric of sorts. It sounds good to me, I think back to two past programming projects of mine that were, really horribly coded. But to my credit they worked! And I learned alot from each of them.
But really, that is the way you learn this thing called programming from what I've found. You try something or follow an example you found (google?), and if it works, you stick with it until otherwise.
I know that the opinions of how to best program something are all over the map ( and I do have my own opinion about how things should be done). But really, each app or project is different. And my opinions about how to best do many things are subject to change as I go…
(I'm done for now, thanks for reading lol)
