The T-Mobile G1: Can You Say Paradigm Shift?
What have I been saying all along? This thing is gonna be huge. The author, John Biggs, points out that this G1 is kinda like a beta phone for Android, which I agree with. He also is skeptical whether or not it will make it over the hurtles in front of it to take over the first true internet connected handheld PC market. But, in my mind, they have already done it. There is no doubt in my mind that Google will march on and succeed with this. They have already shelled out a serious amount of money in their Android App contest. So they are commited to making this happen.
With the full physical Qwerty keyboard this phone already has a leg up on the iPhone, and it's a slightly lower price.
But the main thing that will allow this to grow over all others is the openness of the platform. It will make it nearly ubiqutous (sp?) one day, I believe.

There attempting to serve as the glue that more formally binds the blogosphere into one giant social network. There is MyBlogLog and maybe others already, but IntenseDebate is targeting the heart of interaction on blogs, which is the comment system. Now with Automattic acquiring them and beginning to integrate the IntenseDebate system into WordPress, it is bound to acheive that, which is a huge feat. -
TMobile G1 – Google Android: What Android Could Bring to Your Phone
The G1 and Android provide much more flexibility and possibilities than the iPhone…For instance, Check out his app "Locale"
Locale, developed by an MIT class to let phone users pinpoint the places they live and work on a map, then have their phone change behavior when they're there. Have your phone switch to silent/vibrate when you're at the movies, launch certain apps when you're at a friend's house, and, in the future, run home automation software when you're approaching home. The possibilities are pretty endless with apps like these.
